Become a Dance Extra
Dance Extras can help you find a
job as a TV or Film extra or as a dancer for various events and productions.
Please don't feel that it is only the professional dancers, or the
very experienced who can find jobs as TV/Film extras. Film makers need
people who look and act like the everyday man or woman you see on the
street, and are always looking for new faces.

Why become a dance extra?
This should be something you do in your spare time, as a hobby and does
not require you to give up your current job. You will get the chance
to perform in front of the camera, rub shoulders with the Stars and earn
some extra cash doing something you enjoy. Anyone can apply: men and
women of any ages (18+), sizes, shape, and professional background, as
long as you enjoy dancing as part of your social or professional life.
We are not looking to recruit models but the average person on the street
who shares our passion for dance. You do not need any particular qualifications.

Is it right for you?
Our agency can only be as good as the people we have on our books.
So we will not stress enough that the punctuality and reliability
of our extras is the key to our success. Being a dance extra may
be a hobby for you, but it is our business! So before registering
with us, ask yourself the following questions:
| |
 |
 |
Have I got some time to spare or would my
employer be flexible regarding me taking time off? |
 |
 |
Am I fit enough to spend a day on my feet
and perform a dance routine many times over? |
 |
 |
Do I mind travelling to various locations? |
 |
 |
Would I enjoy mixing with different crowds
of people? |
 |
 |
Would I gracefully accept direction & criticism
from the Director? |
 |
 |
When given an assignment, could I be relied
upon to commit to a specified schedule (which may occasionally
involve costume fittings or rehearsals)? |
 |
If
you have answered positively all the questions above, then we would
love to hear from you.
How do we promote our Dance Extras?
We are regularly contacted by film producers, television studios, casting
agents & magazines who are able to access our books via our website
and carry out a search by dance style, gender and region. Our clients
are able to access each person’s details and photos such as physical
attributes and dance skills (excluding personal contact information)
and then send us their selection on-line. Alternatively, they may contact
us with a particular project in mind and ask us to find the right people
for them.
We also promote our services on many industry related websites
and publications and are actively seeking new business.
How often will you
be contacted by Dance Extras?
Whenever you have been selected, you will be contacted before we put
you forward for any job. We cannot guarantee anyone work; however,
we will use our best endeavour to put you forward for suitable assignments
matching your skills.
